The process

From customer search to your phone.

Next Job Up sits between people searching for local services and good businesses looking for more work.

01
Customer demand

We attract people looking for your service.

We build and market highly targeted online properties designed around the services people are actively searching for in their local area.

The aim isn’t traffic for the sake of traffic. It’s finding people with a genuine requirement.
02
Enquiry

The customer tells us what they need.

Customers contact us through calls, forms and other enquiry routes with information about the service they’re looking for.

That gives us a real customer opportunity rather than simply a website visitor or advertising click.
03
Lead delivery

The opportunity is sent to your business.

Relevant enquiries are delivered directly to the appropriate service provider so you can contact the customer and discuss the work.

Leads are matched according to the service and geographical areas agreed with you.
04
Your business

You take it from there.

Contact the customer, understand the job, provide your quote and book the work if it’s a good fit.

You set your own prices, complete the work and keep the revenue from the job.
What you receive

A customer opportunity — not another marketing report.

Instead of sending you graphs about clicks and impressions, we’re working toward something much more useful: somebody who may actually need your service.

An opportunity to win the job You decide how to quote the work and whether the opportunity makes commercial sense.
What counts as a lead?

The enquiry has to relate to real work.

A Next Job Up lead is intended to represent a genuine opportunity to quote a potential customer. It isn’t a guarantee that every enquiry becomes a job.

That’s an important distinction. We generate the opportunity. Your pricing, availability, response time and sales process determine whether you win it.

A useful lead should normally include:

A relevant service request The customer is looking for a service your business actually provides.
A location you cover The job falls within the geographical areas agreed with your business.
A way to contact the customer Enough information for you to follow up and discuss the opportunity.
Genuine intent The customer has actively requested information, a callback or a quote.
One thing matters
Respond quickly.

When a customer has just made an enquiry, their intent is usually highest right then.

Turning leads into jobs

We create the opportunity. You still have to win it.

The businesses that get the most value from lead generation tend to answer quickly, communicate well and have a straightforward quoting process.

If you’re repeatedly leaving enquiries unanswered for days, buying more leads probably isn’t the answer.

Built around your business

You stay in control of the work you take on.

Next Job Up shouldn’t dictate how you run your business. Our role is to create opportunities and deliver them.

Choose your areas

We’ll agree the geographical areas where you’re interested in receiving opportunities.

Choose your services

Leads can be matched to the types of work your business actually wants.

£

Set your own prices

You’re the contractor. You decide what the job is worth and what you charge.

Choose whether to quote

Not every enquiry will suit every business. You decide whether to pursue an opportunity.

Increase capacity

Where demand allows, lead volumes can grow with the capacity of your business.

Own the customer relationship

Once you’re speaking to the customer, the quoting and service relationship is yours.

Common questions

A few things businesses usually want to know.

Does every lead become a job?

No. A lead is an opportunity to quote a genuine customer requirement, not a guaranteed booking. Your response, price, availability and sales approach will all affect conversion.

Can I choose which areas I cover?

Yes. We’ll agree the services and geographical areas that make commercial sense for your business, subject to Next Job Up availability.

Are leads exclusive?

Lead arrangements can vary according to the industry, area and commercial agreement. We’ll make the lead model clear before you start.

How much does a lead cost?

Lead values vary between industries because the potential value of the underlying jobs varies. We’ll provide pricing for your particular service and area when we confirm availability.

Do you take a percentage of the job?

Our standard model is based around the value of the lead rather than taking a percentage of the work you complete. Any commercial terms are agreed before leads are supplied.

What happens if there is no coverage in my area?

Next Job Up is being developed by industry and location. If we can’t currently supply your area, we can record your interest for future availability.
